BIOSPAIN is the benchmark event for the Spanish biotechnology sector that serves as a meeting point for a multitude of national and international professionals. In 2021, it was held in a hybrid format at the Navarra-Baluarte Conference Center and Auditorium, in Pamplona – Iruña, in collaboration with the Government of Navarra and Sodena (Sociedad de Desarrollo de Navarra, S.L).

  • Positioning BIOSPAIN 2021 as the international meeting of reference in biotechnology and platform for the presentation of Spanish biotechnology at an international level.
  • Reaching the target audience: health, science and biotechnology press, both general and specialized media, and continue to strengthen ties and collaborative relationships

Carrying out actions months before BIOSPAIN 2021, in which we informed about the Fair.

Call/invitation to selected regional and national media.

A community manager was present throughout BIOSPAIN 2021.

Preparation of a press-kit with information on international participation, companies and institutions that were present at BIOSPAIN 2021, investors participating in the Investment Forum, etc., visits to the National Renewable Energy Center (CENER) and NASERTIC (Navarra of Services and Technologies) and the eight press conferences held by sponsors.

Dissemination before, during and after the Fair on social networks, mainly on Twitter and LinkedIn. In them, in addition to key messages, images and video clips were included to improve dissemination and promote the event.

Preparation of an agenda with the main topics of interest likely to be covered by the media during the event and the most prominent speakers, as well as the sessions in online format.

Results

Media impact

High number of impacts in the media. Specifically, more than 400 news were published within the framework of BIOSPAIN 2021, with an audience of more than 36,400,000 readers. All detected impacts had a positive sentiment.

Information generated

National and international media reported on the information generated before, during and after the Fair.

Stake

More than 1,500 professionals from the biotech sector, both national and international, met, more than 3,300 one-to-one meetings and nearly 800 companies participated in BIOSPAIN 2021.
